Southern Railway retains Emanate for PR

Southern Railway has announced that it has appointed Emanate as its retained agency for PR, with the aim of helping promote the benefits of using the train instead of the car.

The Southern Railway brand, which includes Gatwick Express, has appointed Emanate to a three year contract.

Alistair Buckle, head of marketing for Southern Railway and Gatwick Express, said: “The decision to bring in Emanate was pretty straightforward for us.

"We had some fantastic responses to our briefs, and the level of creativity and big thinking across all agencies was impressive, however Emanate made a strong impression with their unique approach of relevance marketing, really hitting the nail on the head with their strategic and creative thinking, which we have no doubt will resonate well with our diverse passenger audience.
