Former group sales and marketing director for The Edrington Group, Barrie Jackson, has been appointed chairman to the board of web development, online advertising and search, and social marketing agency, Dog Digital.
Having worked with The Edrington Group between 1994 and 2003, Dog Digital hopes to benefit from his experience in marketing, business development and international business growth. During his time with The Edrington Group Jackson lead marketing and sales development for international premium brands such as The Famous Grouse, Macallan and Highland Park.
Jackson was also made chairman of Maxxium Worldwide from 2001 to 2003 where brands including Absolut, Cointreau, Jim Beam and Rémy Martin were marketed globally. With his assistance Dog Digital expect to accelerate the agency’s new growth strategy in Europe and Asia.
Jackson also held key business development roles in international environments. As president and CEO of International Beverage Holdings Limited between June 2005 and December 2009, Jackson built up brands and distinctive marketing propositions across Asia.
Speaking of the role, Jackson commented: “I am thrilled to be joining Dog Digital at this time…it is the perfect time to build Dog’s business portfolio and profitability in UK and in their new office in Singapore. Being headquartered in Glasgow, the company will be bringing international business back to UK which is a fantastic prospect for the digital market in this country.”
