Visitor attraction Easton Walled Gardens has announced the appointment of Lava to handle its PR and social media.

As part of the appointment, Lava will promote Easton’s online shop; raise awareness of the estate’s 2013 Snowdrop Week and launch a new range of ‘artisan’ training courses, including willow weaving, pruning and flower arranging.

Lady Ursula Cholmeley, who rescued the previously abandoned gardens, said: “We’ve been working incredibly hard to make the gardens into something really special and now, with an online shop offering people the chance to buy our seeds, a fabulous Snowdrop Week planned for 2013 and exciting plans to launch our own range of courses, we want to raise our profile.

“Lava’s mix of PR and social media services will help us shout about our exciting plans and engage with potential visitors and customers in new ways. We’re very much looking forward to working with their enthusiastic and creative team.”

The account will be led by senior account manager Becky Allen, who said: “We’re looking forward to using an integrated approach, bringing together traditional and online PR, digital marketing and social media engagement to welcome back previous visitors and attract people who’ve never experienced the magic of Easton Walled Gardens as well as boost sales of Easton’s unique range of seeds from its online shop. We’ll also be encouraging people to develop their craft skills when we launch Easton’s unique range of training courses. It’s going to be great fun helping put hundreds of years of history back on the map.”
