Cardiff University’s The Student High Street has been launched with the aim of providing a one stop location for student services.

Design agency Matthew Fairweather was tasked with the development of the project on the well-known thoroughfare at Park Place in Cardiff, working to the brief of enhancing student experience and awareness of services.

Services located on the Student High Street have included the Student Support Centre, the IT Service Desk, Chaplaincies and the University Health Centre as well as the Students’ Union, The Graduate Centre and a 24-hour security office.

In a period of just five weeks, the agency worked closely with University teams and encouraged input from students to develop the brand identity, the location, the exterior signage, promotional ephemera and seasonal campaigns.

Twitter was used to generate online support and awareness with posters directing new students to @StudentHighSt and asking them to use #Studenthighstreet.
