Not cool, cookie: AMC Theatres admonishes Oreo for bring-your-own-food Cinema tweet

When Oreo tweeted asking its followers if they ever snuck Oreos into the cinema, it probably wasn’t expecting to be told off by a movie theatre.

But that is what happened, when AMC Theatres tweeted ‘NOT COOL, COOKIE. RT @Oreo: Ever bring your own Oreo cookies to the movie theater? #slicksnacker’ to its over 135,000 followers.

We like the banter that AMC Theatres started – although Oreo has not yet replied – similar to that between Nando’s and Santam on YouTube after the fast food company copied an ad by the insurance company.
