Bob Morton, non-executive chairman of WFCA, has been appointed to the board of Porta Communications following Porta’s purchase of the independent agency for £1.49m.
That deal was declared unconditional in all respects on 10 September, clearing the way for Morton’s appointment.
Morton, a chartered accountant, has served as chairman of various companies including Systems Union, Maclellan and Vislink.
David Wright, who will assume the role of chief executive of the enlarged group, said: "I have known Bob Morton for a number of years, and worked with him when he was chairman of Incepta, the holding company for Citigate. Bob always takes an active role in the development of the companies with which he is involved and the knowledge and experience he brings will be a considerable asset to Porta."
