Karl Warner, executive editor for BBC Entertainment Commissioning, has been revealed as the advisory chair for Edinburgh International Television Festival 2013.
He takes over from Kenton Allen, chief executive of Big Talk Productions, who held the role for this year’s festival.
In the role of advisory chair, Warner will be responsible for the editorial direction of the programme, from commissioning ideas for sessions to final production.
Warner said: “I hope next year's festival will be the biggest celebration of creativity and innovation we've ever had. Everyone who attends should come away feeling inspired and equipped with highly valuable, practical insights on dealing with the creative challenges of the future. I'm thrilled to be appointed the Advisory Chair and I can't wait to get started."
