Marriott International has appointed Grey New York to its $20m creative account, following a pitch against JWT and incumbent Mcgarrybowen.

It is expected that Grey will begin working for Marriott International next month as lead creative agency of record.

Susan Thronson, Marriott International senior vice-president global marketing, said: “We were challenged and inspired by the Grey team and the quality of its Gen Y insights.

“Our decision was based on Grey's ability to engage consumers throughout their brand journey – regardless of the channel used or the location of the traveller.”
