Sir Tim Berners-Lee, who was inducted into the BIMA Digital Hall of Fame at ad:tech London this afternoon, has said that it is a great honour.
In an acceptance speech video on BIMA's Digital Hall of Fame website, the founder of the world wide web thanked the millions of people worldwide making the web what it is today, saying:
“When I accept an award like this, I do it on behalf of a lot of people; millions of people now, who have been making the web work because they thought it was a good idea.”
Sir Tim also thanked BIMA and The Drum for his induction and congratulated the other inductees to the BIMA Digital Hall of Fame.
The Digital Hall of Fame celebrates the impact Britons have had on the digital landscape.
