These are the seldom seen faces behind some of the world's most iconic products. Apple's entire design team, including its famously publicity-shy British honcho Sir Jonathan Ive, descended en masse on London last night to collect two special awards from D&AD.

Sir Jonathan (centre), who for all the acclaim bestowed upon him rarely makes public appearances, collected Apple's awards for best brand and best design studio at D&AD's 50th anniversary celebration in Battersea Park. But rather than let one man take the plaudits, Apple took the unusual step of flying its entire design team over from San Francisco to celebrate the achievement as a group - a notable event given that Apple has seemingly never attended an awards bash before.Apple's PR man indicated to The Drum last night that the company wanted its team to be there as a whole as it has a policy of not singling out individual success.Other advertising and design luminaries present at the event included Sir John Hegarty, Lord Puttnam and Sir Terence Conran.
