Recruitment firm Reed.co.uk has announced that it is to launch a TV campaign on 30 September in support of a social and digital media campaign.
Spaceship, created by Contagious and produced by Weiland’s, is a continuation of the job sites ‘Love Mondays’ campaign and stars comedian and actor Rufus Jones as Captain Reed, an intergalactic space traveller who has the power to change people’s lives by changing their careers.
Airing on primetime slots on both satellite and terrestrial television the campaign will feature cameo roles from Reed.co.uk staff.
It is being directed by Jonathan Brooks and Mat Laroche who won a public vote to create a TV commercial for the company earlier this year after entering Reed.co.uk's short film competition.
Their resulting work, Super Reed, featured a job-wielding superhero zapping lacklustre workers into new and exciting jobs. The ad helped the company to an 80% rise in unprompted brand awareness, record site traffic and activity levels, and over half a million new CVs.
Mark Rhodes, Marketing Director, said: “We’re extremely proud to be working with Jonathan and Mat on a second commercial.
“At reed.co.uk, opportunity sits at the heart of everything we do, so we’re really happy to be able to give them another chance to show what talented filmmakers they are.
“Once again, we have a bold, high-energy piece of advertising, which we fully expect to deliver the same outstanding results as the last campaign and further establish reed.co.uk’s position as the UK’s number one job site.”
