Anneka Deva has joined branding agency ORB to work on its business development, account management and workshop facilitation, following the success of TEDx, the ideas sharing enterprise, which she brought to Birmingham earlier this year.

She has moved from youth empowerment charity Envision where she managed the alumni programme and events to link the business community with 450 teenagers involved in creating and implementing social action projects.

Prior to Envision, she worked as a business analyst at Xayce, an analyst at the Department of Health and on the alumni fund at the University of Leeds.

Commenting on her appointment, Anneka said: “I’m passionate about global issues, meeting entertaining, interesting and inspiring people, and sharing ideas to improve the way we do things.

“ORB ticks all of those boxes and I became drawn to them for my next career move after their MD Rob Bloxham gave one of the initial talks at TEDxBrum and used their visual thinking approach to generate ideas for Birmingham’s next revolution.”
