MIP appoints a new MD

Media Intelligence Partners (MIP) has announced the appointment of Alistair Thompson as managing director.

Thompson was previously the deputy managing director of MIP, overseeing the company's campaigning and thought leader clients. He devised and delivered successful campaigns on religious freedom, assisted suicide and addiction and helped to launch reports for several high profile think-tanks including the Centre for Social Justice.

Nick Wood, chief executive of MIP, commented: “Since joining the company in 2007, Alistair has masterminded campaigns on a range of controversial subjects like assisted suicide and euthanasia. Alistair has supported the continued growth of the company and I’m happy to announce his promotion to MD.”

Media Intelligence Partners, MIP, is a political and media consultancy firm based in Westminster.

Founded by Nick Wood, former head of media for the UK Conservative party, senior staff include Mike Magan, former special assistant to President George W Bush, and Jonathan Haslam, former chief press secretary to UK Prime Minister John Major.
