Google launches Creative Sandbox in collaboration with AKQA

Google has collaborated with AKQA to develop CreativeSandbox.com, an open platform to surface and celebrate excellence in digital creativity and inspire more experiences and ads consumers love.

In a bid to celebrate the creative work which doesn’t fit into a neat box, Google developed Creative Sandbox to be a crowd-sourced, social experience designed for exploration and inspiration.

It has allowed agencies to upload their work to share the building blocks of the technologies and insights behind each project and how it came together. Users have been allowed to express their appreciation with their votes and +1s with each vote changing the landscape and re-sifting the entries on the site's homepage.

Google has said it "recognised that inspiration often happens away from a desk", and has optimised the site for mobile devices.
