Satnav brand TomTom has appointed Gary Raucher from Philips as senior vice president for consumer marketing.

Raucher will be responsible for managing TomTom's brand and all consumer-related marketing and communications activities globally.

He joins after nine years at Philips, where he was vice president and head of brand and communications within the electronics giant's consumer lifestyle division.

“With Gary on board, we are set to take the TomTom brand and marketing communications to the next level,” said Corinne Vigreux, managing director at TomTom.

“His track record of developing innovative and effective marketing programmes will be a tremendous asset as we develop our business for future growth. Gary will play a key role at TomTom as we broaden our consumer product portfolio in growing categories.”
