MediaCom has named Ricardo Clemente as the new Chief Executive of MediaCom Portugal.
Clemente, who was previously CEO of GroupM Interaction in Portugal, has been briefed to extend the agency’s digital capabilities and to offer highly cost-effective marketing opportunities to clients in a tough economic climate.
In line with MediaCom’s brand philosophy of “People first, better results”, he has also been charged with making the agency one of the top companies to work for in Portugal.
Ricardo Clemente said: “There is huge potential for this company and I look forward to building on MediaCom’s market-leading client service as well as developing fantastic new digital opportunities for advertisers.”
Nick Lawson, MediaCom’s Europe, Middle East and Africa region (EMEA) CEO, said: “Portugal is a key market and we are tremendously excited about Ricardo joining the business and look forward to a refreshed and energised MediaCom in Portugal.”
MediaCom Portugal works for a broad range of international and local clients, including VW, Ikea, Electronic Arts, Allianz and Toshiba. In 2012 the agency has enjoyed new business success, picking up five new clients: Kenwood, ACP, Minison, Brio Supermercados and Be Slim.
