Microsoft Advertising has promoted Mike Buckley to head of agency sales.

The new role combines Buckley's current head of trading post with the head of agency sales role vacated by Jon Lewen in August last year.

Buckley will report to Simon Davies, sales director for Microsoft Advertising and Online UK, who said: “We’re delighted to announce that Mike Buckley has been promoted to head of agency sales. This is a new role that for the first time combines Mike’s original role as head of trading with running the agency sales team.

“In this transformational year for Microsoft, Mike will focus on driving revenue and market share growth through industry-leading engagement with our agency partners that showcases the Microsoft product suite – including Windows, Windows Phone, Bing, Skype, MSN, Xbox and our network and exchange business – to its full potential."
