News International and News Corporation have announced a reshuffle at executive level as general manager David Dinsmore becomes director of operations for News International.

Dinsmore, who has worked his way through the ranks, including editor of The Scottish Sun, and general manager of NI, has recently acted as The Sun’s managing editor in London with Richard Caseby involved in the Leveson Enquiry.

Caseby will now return to the role, as Dinsmore takes on the job of director of operations.

Other moves include CFO Susan Panuccio going to News Corporation, while Chris Longcroft takes on that vacant role and Paul Cheesbrough becomes chief technology officer at News Corp.

Panuccio will move on 1 October to work on the expected board restructure that will take place next year, however she will remain on the board of NI Group also.

Longcroft has been promoted from financial director within NI, having joining in 2009.

Also moving across to News Corp will be NI’s chief information officer Cheebrough.

In his new position he will be responsible for the company’s global technology strategy, while also coordinating with senior staff to develop new digital products and expand its digital footprint across the portfolio.

He will however, continue to collaborate with the News International technology team, which director of enterprise technologies, Chris Taylor will oversee as interim chief information officer.

Tom Mockridge, CEO of News International, said; “I am extremely grateful to Susan for her sound advice, pragmatism and commercial acumen, and wish her well with the important task of assisting in the re-structure of the company. Chris Longcroft is ideally suited to take forward the finance role and guide NI through the challenges ahead.

“Paul has been a pioneer at News International and has delivered the wide range of digital products which we now offer our customers. He has led innovation which puts us at the forefront of the industry and he has put technology at the heart of our business.

“I am delighted that the talent of these individuals has been recognised and I wish them the very best in their new roles," he added.
