McCarthy & Stone brings in Carat for multi-million pound media account

Retirement home and flat developer McCarthy & Stone has appointed Carat after nearly 20 years with Space & Time.

The multi-million pound account was handed to Carat following a three-way-pitch, it is understood.

Sam Turner, marketing director for McCarthy & Stone Group, said: “Space & Time have been wonderful partners for us and over the last 12 years have helped build the brand to its number one position, for which we are very grateful. However, now that we have launched financial and legal services alongside our property business, it seemed the right time to review our media strategy going forward. It is an exciting time for our brand, we have ambitious plans for the business and we look forward to welcoming the Carat team on board.

Space and Time chairman, Peter Jones, added: "I've had a working relationship with McCarthy & Stone for the greater part of two decades, am very sorry to see the account leave and wish them every success in the future."
