Confused.com has released a mobile app to help simplify parking, allowing users to compare car parks by price and distance.

The free-to-download iPhone app, will use GPS to find the closest and cheapest location for drivers to park, developed by Rant Media using data from Parking Data Research International.

Gonzalo Bernstein, head of business development at Confused.com, said: “We aim to save drivers hundreds of pounds a year by helping them find the closest and cheapest car parks across the country. Our research has discovered free and low-cost car parks in the UK which are just minutes drive away from the costly ones, if only you know where to find them.

“We anticipate this app will help reduce arguments between couples and friends in cars, reducing the time spent driving around aimlessly looking for space and also reducing costs,” he added.
