MiNetwork is launching bi-monthly Chapter meetings later this month as a new benefit of membership that aims to bring the MiNetwork community of almost 100 agency owners across the UK together on a regular basis to learn from eachother, share experiences, discuss best practice in agency management and to hear from a line up of inspirational business speakers.

Miles Welch will be talking profitability at September meetings

The bi-monthly meetings, which will initially take place in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and Glasgow from Tuesday 26th September and are free for MiNetwork agency owner members to attend, will see a line up of inspirational agency business leaders and expert business advisors scheduled to speak to members about the many issues that agency owners face as they go about growing their own agency business.

The first Chapter meetings in Manchester, Birmingham and London will see leading agency business advisor and former Digitas CEO Miles Welch of Results International and Dan Eggerton, also of Results International, presenting a two-hour masterclass on maximising profits in an agency business.

During the Manage For Profit Masterclass Miles and Dan will discuss the principle of managing an agency for profit, introduce the Performance Management Checklist and also gives attendees tools and levers for improving their agency’s profitability. They will also be on hand to answer any questions members may have on maximising agency profits.

These bi-monthly sessions will be held under the Chatham House Rule and be highly interactive so that members can openly discuss and debate the challenges they are facing in their business and get the answers and inspiration they need in a totally confidential environment of like-minded agency business owners.

The schedule for the Leeds and Scottish meetings will include a presentation from legal advisor John Haggis of international law firm Sheridan’s on which overseas markets offer the best opportunities for expansion to ambitious marketing agencies.

The schedule of meetings is as follows:

Tues 26th Sept – Manchester

Weds 27th – Leeds

Thurs 28th – Birmingham

Mon 1st October – London

Mon 8th October – Glasgow

The meetings will begin at 6pm with a buffet, presentations and discussions will begin at 6.30pm and the meetings will culminate with networking and drinks until around 9pm.

Speaking of the new Chapter meetings Richard Draycott, managing director of MiNetwork, said: “Our Chapter meetings will become must-attend events for all of our members who want to explore new ways of running the most profitable agency business possible and for those who want to build an agency that will one day be a highly valuable and attractive asset.

“The experience and business knowledge that our members have to share with each other is immense and couple that with the opportunity for them to hear from former agency owners who have launched, run and sold highly profitable agency business and ask them just how they did it then these meetings will offer members a valuable and structured opportunity to stand back from the day to day of their business and focus on some of the bigger picture issues."
