Sky Broadband agrees £4m sponsorship deal around ITV Drama schedule

Sky Broadband has announced a £4m deal to sponsor ITV’s new Showcase Drama.

From 3 September, Sky Broadband will run activity across broadcast, online and mobile elements through a deal negotiated by ITV commercial and Mediacom, which will aim to create a dialogue for Sky Broadband with viewers.

A series of idents created by WCRS will run around ITV drama aiming to highlight the full range of Sky Broadband products, including programmes such as The Scapegoat, Mr Selfridge and Homefront.

Simon Daglish, group commercial sales director for ITV said: “ITV1 broadcast six out of the top ten new dramas across all channels in 2011. Our ITV Showcase Drama package features some of the best of ITV’s content, and we are delighted to have secured Sky Broadband as the sponsor of this prolific property.”

Now the UK’s number one triple-play provider, this sponsorship will provide strong reach for the value message of Sky’s campaign – encouraging consumers to demand more from their broadband and noting that Sky Broadband Unlimited customers enjoy absolutely no data usage caps as well as free and unlimited WiFi access at thousands of Cloud WiFi hotspots.
