Following the administration of Rapier, the agency’s chief executive Jonathan Stead is to join CHI & Partners which plans to resurrect they agency’s name and assets.

Rapier, which was founded in 1986, and underwent a management buy-out in 1988 led by Stead, at one point employed 120 people, but was hit by the loss of clients such as Yell and RAC.

It is understood that the newly formed company will operate as Rapier as an equal joint venture between CHI & Partners and Stead and will continue to work with Vodafone going forward.
