The Drum is calling on the creative community to use its design talents to support the plight of the jailed Pussy Riot band.

We launched our Pussy Riot Appeal yesterday, urging creatives to dream up merchandise ideas – such as posters, mugs, umbrellas, t-shirts and balaclavas – which could then be sold to raise vital funds for the jailed singers’ cause.

All the ideas we receive will be published online and the most popular we will arrange to have made – and sold – with all the proceeds going to the Pussy Riot defence fund.

The first submissions for the campaign (pictured) have been sent in by Frank & Alf at Alf Creative, who came up with the idea for an ‘Innocent’ balaclava, poster and Russian Dolls.

Do you have a better idea? Send it in JPG form to riotappeal@thedrum.com by 7 September.

We will exhibit all the suggestions we receive on thedrum.com and The Drum’s Facebook page.
