PG Tips to engage with Facebook fans through release of postcard app
Unilever tea brand PG Tips has begun a new social media campaign which aims to engage with its Facebook fans.
The campaign, developed by We Are Social as part of the brand’s £13m marketing spend for this year, incudes a Facebook app entitled To Monkey with Love’ allows users to create a postcard featuring the PG Tips branding and a caption, which can be sent to Monkey to show where they have been drinking their tea.
Facebook fans of the brand will be able to vote for their favourite postcard, with the winner receiving tickets for a family experience at Go Ape, alongside a year’s supply of tea.
Tana Walker, PG Tips brand executive at Unilever UK, commented: “PG Tips’ Facebook page has the most engaged Facebook community in the UK. By introducing this fun campaign platform, we will encourage new fans to engage with the brand as well as drive further engagement from our existing audience.”
