Ware Anthony Rust (WAR)’s managing director Alison Meadow’s has left the agency after seven years in charge.

The Cambridge-based marketing services agency has confirmed the departure of Meadows after 21-years with the agency, stating that she was to seek ‘a fresh challenge’.

A spokesperson for WAR told The Drum; “During Alison’s time as managing director, WAR has grown it's digital base, consolidated its PR offering and been successful in attracting national and international clients. The company has also managed to weather the worst of the recession.

“Alison passes the business into the safe hands of the remaining members of the management team: finance director Anne Marchini, executive creative director Dale Haste, head of PR and planning Shelby Haslam, board director Gareth Brookman and senior consultant Geoff Dodgson. The team is working with recently-appointed Non-Executive Chairman John Wringe on a mid-term business and corporate development programme that is driving the 25-year-old agency into its next phase of growth.”

A successor to Meadows has yet to be announced at the time of writing.
