Nikon UK has announced that it is the camera sponsor of the Reading Festival, with the aim of promoting its ‘I AM Nikon’ brand message to a young audience.
Nikon will work with Fancam to capture a super high resolution interactive image of the crowd from the main stage, taken using a Nikon D800 professional digital SLR camera.
Jeremy Gilbert, group marketing manager at Nikon UK, said: “We’re very excited to be associated with such a major music event that allows us to actively engage with music fans. This audience is already used to capturing, documenting and sharing their personal experiences across social media sites, so we expect they will have fun interacting with the highly detailed image taken with the Nikon Fancam.
The Nikon Fancam collaboration is also great opportunity for us to demonstrate the high resolution and imaging capabilities of the Nikon D800 professional digital SLR camera.”
The festival takes place next weekend, from Friday 24 until Sunday 26; with the fancam image to be available from Wednesday 29 August.
