Paddy Power kicks off Premier league with new text bet service and chance for Facebook fans to win a share of £25k

Paddy Power has today announced the launch of a new text betting service, to be promoted by The if agency, as well as creating a £25k bet on Facebook.

Fans will get to choose which of six bets they want to enter, with Paddy Power placing the most popular bet, and if the bet comes off, all those who voted for any bet will receive a share if the chosen bet wins.

The six bets focus on big fixture games in the first weekend – Arsenal v Sunderland, West Brom v Liverpool, Newcastle v Spurs, Wigan v Chelsea, Manchester City v Southampton and Everton v Manchester Utd.

Christian Woolfenden, marketing director at Paddy Power, said: “The £25,000 fan bet activity is designed to reward and excite our Facebook fans at a key time for the brand and the consumer – the start of the Premier League. Through consumer-centric activity such as this, we will further embed our commitment to ‘We Hear You’ and continue to win in social in comparison with our competition.”

At the same time, The if agency will raise awareness for the new text betting service, with the aim of promoting the product to both existing and new target customers by focussing on both speed and ease.
