Children's digital radio station, Fun Kids, has launched a free-to-download iPad app, which targets children under 10 and their parents.

Developed by Surry-based Big Orange Software alongside Folder's in-house development team, the app features content from 50 different podcast channels, the app also extends the brand into non-radio content. Users will also be able to access a magazine-style section with news, videos, book reviews and events information, get in touch with the station, and enter the station's competitions.

Station manager of Fun Kids, Matt Deegan, commented: "Much of Fun Kids’ growth over the past year has come from its development into a true multi-platform brand.

"The iPad app will be great for listeners old and new, as well as providing a new way for our partners to reach children and families."
