What Car? has launched the UK’s first free car valuation app, developed by mobile innovation agency Grapple.

Available on iPhone, Android, Nokia and Windows Phone the app means consumers will be able to access What Car?’s automotive advice anytime, anywhere. The free-to-download app provides car valuations, expert opinions, and dealer location tools.

The used car valuation function allows consumers to accurately receive a valuation by entering the make, model, bodystyle, version, year and mileage of the car they are looking at. The app also provides users with a breakdown of the valuations by dealer price, private price, part-exchange, and trade price.

Editor-in-chief at What Car? Chas Hallett commented: “The What Car? app will be invaluable to anyone looking to buy or sell a car because it gives unparalleled access to the most comprehensive and reliable data in the marketplace. Wherever or whenever it will give consumers the confidence that the deal they are making is the right one. The What Car? app will be vital in the car buying process.”

Grapple’s CEO, Alistair Crane, said the agency was “delighted” to have worked on the app extending the What Car? brand to mobile, “bringing its trusted knowledge and expertise to the fingertips of consumers when and where they need it most.”
