Radio 1 have released an imaging pitch for its revamped breakfast show featuring new host, Nick Grimshaw.

The Opportunity to Bid document for the imaging suggests pitches should steer clear of sung jingles in particular, a move away from current host Chris Moyles' jingle heavy show.

Over the last eight and a half years Moyles and his team have become known for their custom, parody songs, even releasing an album in 2009.

"The new Breakfast Show will sound young, exciting, big and confident. It needs to stand out and not sound like any previous BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Shows. The new theme will need to sound slickly produced and original, including a significant element of live instrumentation and an identifying motif (logo),” the imaging pitch says.

Submissions are open until Wednesday 15 August.
