Ptarmigan Bell Pottinger managing director Nathan Lane has left the agency to set up his own consultancy, Campfire PR.

Lane, who has also held roles at Brahm and Golley Slater, has started his own business, which will aim to supporting creative agencies and work with industry companies across a range of sectors.

Said Lane, who joins Ptarmigan Bell Pottinger from Golley Slater PR in 2009, explained: "This probably isn't the biggest thing to happen in PR this year but we are creating an agency that is fit for purpose in the next decade. We will work with companies and organisations that have a great story to tell and understand that it needs to be told across traditional and digital media. By blending mobile, social, SEO and traditional media channels we will create campaigns that are measurable and lasting."

Lane leaves the agency following the recent sale of the Bell Pottinger business by owner Chime Communications.
