Manchester City FC has revealed that it is launching an interactive kids membership scheme with a marketing campaign.

The City Kicks scheme, aimed at under-16s, will include a members-only website, as well as access to content from the club mascots, Moonchester and Moonbeam, and potential City stars of tomorrow from the Club’s Elite Development Squad.

Julian Pate, head of marketing at Manchester City, said: “City Kicks is about bringing young fans into the heart of Manchester City Football Club. The membership scheme has been designed to give kids unrivalled access to their favourite players, club news, games, educational material and more. We’re excited about the journey the Club is on and we want to make sure our young fans feel part of it.”

Micah Richards, defender and Academy graduate, is the City Kicks Ambassador and has his very own ‘Micah’s Corner’ section of the website.

He said: “I’m thrilled to be involved in this new City Kicks junior membership. I know from my personal experiences as a 14-year-old youth squad player how inspiring it is for young fans to be made to feel a part of this great club from an early age.”

Manchester City has also announced a deal with viagogo this week, with the ticket marketplace to become the Club’s official ‘Ticket Exchange Partner’.

The service will enable members with a seasoncard the chance to recoup the cost of matches they cannot attend.
