A campaign to thanks supporters of Blind Veterans UK is to run throughout August, and offer stories of individuals who have been touched by the charity over the last 12 months.

Created by direct marketing agency TDA, a 12-page communication pack entitled ‘Life Changing’ will be sent to 170,000 existing donors across the UK, alongside a cover letter that will encourage recipients to give an extra donation.

The main objective of the pack will be strengthen the charity’s relationship with supporers and allow them to see the important role their gifts play.

A copy of the charity’s Christmas catalogue will also be included.

Andy Taylor, group manager, individual giving at Blind Veterans UK, commented: “Our aim was to create a communication that is warm, friendly and personal.

“We have had some landmark developments in the past year – such as opening our new Centre in Llandudno. But we know that it is the stories about individual people and their determination to continue living a rewarding life after sight loss that really resonates with supporters. Life changing is a celebration of our beneficiaries, but it is also a celebration of the donors – nothing could be achieved without them.”
