Games studio Hide&Seek and ExPlay Festival 2012 have both appointed Ladbury to handle their PR and help raise their profiles.

Hide&Seek appointed the agency following a competitive, pitch, with the brief to promote its output, including 99 Tiny Games, a series of games designed as part of Showtime festival presented by the office of the Mayor of London.

Alex Fleetwood, Hide&Seek director, said: “Ladbury demonstrated the right mix of high-level grasp of the sector and the ability to place mainstream stories, which is exactly what we need to encourage more people to discover the joy of playing, whether it’s on their street or on their mobile. We hit the ground running and are already seeing the leverage that comes with broader publicity.”

Gaming festival ExPlay asked the agency to publicise this year’s industry event aimed at budding games developers that will take place in Bath from 31 October to 2 November, after a successful publicity campaign by Ladbury last year.

Korash Sanjideh, festival director, said: “We could not have been more pleased with the publicity Ladbury achieved for us last year. It put ExPlay on the map and we are confident of achieving an even bigger impact this year. We have already managed to secure a media partnership with Edge magazine and are working on stories that will highlight those taking part at the festival as well as those active in the gaming industry in the South West, where ExPlay takes place.”
