Tennent’s has appointed Highland Spring’s Paul Condron as marketing director.

The Drum has learned that Condron, currently head of brand marketing for the bottled water brand, will join Tennent’s in September, following the promotion of Sandra Mitchell to group marketing director for C&C Group.

Sally Stanley, group marketing director at Highland Spring Group, confirmed Condron’s departure and added: “We’re grateful to Paul for his excellent contribution to Highland Spring over the last five years and wish him the very best in his new position.”

Steven Annand, commercial managing director at Tennent Caledonian Breweries, said: “Tennent’s is one of Scotland’s most popular brands and we’re delighted to have been able to attract Paul, who has done a great job for Highland Spring, to join us. With the launches of both Caledonia Best and Tennent’s Original Export it’s a very exciting time for Tennent Caledonian Breweries and we’ve got plenty more for Paul to get his teeth into when he joins us.”

It is understood that Highland Spring is now searching for a successor.
