Communications Group Engine has announced that it has appointed Stevie Spring as a non-executive director, part of a raft of changes that include the appointment of Ashley Black as finance director and John Bernbach as executive director.

Spring previously served as chief executive of Future Plc, the special interest media group, and has previously served as chief executive of Clear Channel.

At present Spring is also a fellow of both the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising and the Marketing Society; one of only three honorary members of the Women’s Advertising Club; a patron of NABS; and the first externally appointed Chairman for BBC Children in Need.

Peter Scott, Engine chairman and worldwide CEO said: “As Engine positions for the next phase of its growth, we have made two important new appointments to enhance our Board team. Stevie Spring brings extensive public company leadership and advertising and marketing industry expertise. In turn, Ashley Martin brings extensive financial expertise in managing the expansion of high growth businesses.”
