The View from The Shard appoints Carat as media partner

Iconic London building The Shard has awarded Carat the media planning and buying contract to handle its The View from The Shard project, beating off competition from four media agencies.

Designed by architect Renzo Piano, The Shard is the tallest building in Western Europe. The View from The Shard is nearly twice as high as any other viewing platform in London and will offer an unparalleled viewing experience spanning floors 68, 69 and 72 at a height of up to 800ft. The multi-sensory experience offers 360 degree views for 40 miles across London.

Carat will be working alongside M&C Saatchi to promote The View from The Shard as a premium visitor attraction to local, national and international audiences. Opening February 1 2013, advance tickets are already on sale online. The account will be handled from Carat’s Leeds office with the team reporting to The View from The Shard’s management team including chief executive Andres Nyberg and marketing director Laura McCarthy.
