The Fauxlympics slaloms into its final days with six more entries revealed: WKD, Colgate, ADT, British Airways, Just for Men and Viagra
It was another day, another pile of excellent entries in the Fauxlympics yesterday, as the creative world have donned their thinking caps to come up with some fabulous fake ads for the sporting events which shall not be named.
With almost two dozen entries in the past 24 hours, we have picked a selection of six for you look at, to get you limbered up for voting next week.
There will be a Burger King, Pepsi and Galaxy winner in each of the four categories, with an overall winner to receive the grand prize of a summer Chip, courtesy of the Chip Shop Awards (and the only non-McDonald's chip you'll be able to have on the Olympic grounds).
Feast your eyes, and if these entries make you want to put your own ad forward, sent it to ishbel.macleod@thedrum.com in jpeg or PDF format, along with the name of the agency and creators (if applicable), the brand the ad is for, and the category you would like to enter it into.
In case you have forgotten, the four categories are:
The Sprint: Guerrilla ads that would be taken down faster than Usain Bolt can run 100 metres.
The Long Shot: Ads which probably should be allowed to run, but probably won’t.
The Hurdles: Ads which manage to get around the advertising rules.
The High Jump: Funny ads which break all the rules.
