London based airline, CityJet has launched its own music channel in association with MBM Records.

The channel, called OnAir, has allowed visitors to the website and CityJet’s Facebook fans, to listen to a mix of tracks from contemporary European and US indie and pop artists such as Bag Raiders, Jens Lekman and Bon Iver.

In addition a new CityJet playlist has been created to be played on all flights when passengers are boarding and disembarking.

The new CityJet music and media page have been designed to give customers the latest trends in contemporary music. Rolling information strands have also been created to keep passengers up-to-date with music and entertainment news from around the world including new album launches, collaborations and venue information.

To celebrate the launch, CityJet produced a limited number of CDs to give out to passengers through a variety of channels, including ‘On the Spot’ at the airport and through competitions on the CityJet social media platforms.

CityJet’s OnAir channel has also been made available to download as an iPhone app, allowing CityJet customers to enjoy their music on the go.

Christine Ourmières, CEO, CityJet has said of the new channel: "We know music is a keen interest for many of our customers and by working with MBM Records to create this unique playlist our OnAir channel is putting our customers in touch with the latest in contemporary indie and pop music. OnAir is another strand we’ve developed to ensure that we continue to provide a quality, personal service at every touch point with our customers."
