Owner, developer and manager of designer outlet centres in Europe, McArthurGlen Group, has appointed We Are Social to manage its pan-European social media strategy and execution.
McArthurGlen’s social media activity across the UK, Germany, Greece, Belgium, Austria and the Netherlands will now be handled by the team at We Are Social, with the agency also overseeing McArthurGlen’s existing Facebook pages for its 21 designer outlets across Europe.
The strategies primary focus will be creating exclusive content on the brands Facebook pages as well as launching competitions and promotions. We Are Social will also handle the Group’s influence engagement and crisis management and social advertising.
Head of digital at McArthurGlen Group, Carly Cazzolli, commented: “Social media will be a key channel for McArthurGlen to communicate with its customers across Europe in 2012 and beyond.

The agency’s first project will be the launch of its Spring/Summer campaign which builds on McArthurGlen’s established position as a brand for those who love shopping and style but prioritise living life to the full. The campaign is set to involve influencer engagement activities in all markets as well as promotional activity on Facebook.

We Are Social’s offices in Paris, Milan and Munich will now be working alongside the UK tradm to deliver the social media programme.
