Worst campaign of the week? Dating website launches Win a Divorce competition

Worst campaign of the week? Dating website launches Win a Divorce competitionWorst campaign of the week? Dating website launches Win a Divorce

Maritalaffair.co.uk has launched a Win a Divorce Facebook competition, offering one "lucky" winner the chance to have up to £1,800 of their legal fees paid.

The online competition has sparked nationwide debates, much like the equally distasteful Lean Mean Fighting Machine competition which ran earlier this month, offering the 5,000th follower the opportunity to sack an agency employee.

Defending the competition, which is set to receive over 300 entries, managing director Paul Graham has said: “People have an increasing desire to make the most of their lives and if that means moving on to a new relationship, then so be it. We’re giving someone who isn’t happy in their marriage a ‘get-out clause’ from the costly process of ending it.”

So has this website gone too far in a bid to gain publicity? Let us know in the comments section.

I'm not sure if you have seen this before, but a divorce solicitor ran a Facebook Competition for Valentine's day in February 2012. It had over 500 entries which is worrying... http://businessdefencesolicitors.co.uk/divorces-online-competition/
