Newsquest Herald & Evening Times has poached The Scotsman’s advertising manager to head up its own advertising team.

Hilary Douglas, who has been with Johnston Press owned Scotsman Publications for nearly three years, is set to head west to join the Glasgow publisher later this year.

Julia Arthur, interim advertising director at Newsquest Herald & Evening Times, told The Drum that Douglas joined amidst restructuring of the advertising markets to reflect key products and markets.

“We are delighted that Hilary Douglas will be joining us as the Head of Herald and Sunday Herald advertising team,” she added.
