Twitter has appointed M&C Saatchi as its first UK agency, with the aim of dispelling the image of the social media tool as being predominantly for journalists and to promote brands.
The social media site hopes to become more mainstream, and aims to be seen as people-focussed.
This follows the appointment by Twitter earlier this month of Helen Prowse as communications manager for the UK.
