The National Trust has begun a campaign aiming to safeguard the future of the White Cliffs of Dover.

As part of the Neptune Coastline Campaign, TDA was tasked with the creation of direct response activity for the charity to raise £1.2m in order to acquire another 1.34 km to add to the 7km stretch the Trust already possesses.

Supporters of the campaign will be able to have their names carved into a virtual White Cliffs of Dover.

“The White Cliffs are an important part of our cultural identity, a really special place that evokes a potent mix of patriotism and nostalgia in many people,” commented Caroline Bowyer, campaign manager for the Neptune Coastline at National Trust. “Our aim is to protect the cliffs for ever, whilst allowing open access for visitors and enhancing the biodiversity of the natural habitat. Membership fees only cover about a third of our annual costs, so fundraising is very important to help us do our work.”
