MARS\Y&R appoints Simon Spicer as channel leader

Shopper marketing specialist MARS\Y&R has appointed Simon Spicer as channel leader. The appointment marks Spicer’s first agency role following a twenty year career in retailer and supplier roles, he joins the agency from Energiser Wilkinson Sword where he held the role of business account manager.

Spicer will head up the agency’s channel function working with executive planning director, Paul Porter, to develop the offer for clients as the agency plans to grow its channel operations across Europe.

Spicer’s background in shopper insight, trade marketing, category development, buying, sales and store operation roles across a number of sectors will be of value to his role at MARS\Y&R. In his previous position at Energiser Wilkinson Sword his commercial achievements were notable and include securing a new range of listings, double digit growth in sales and gross profit.
