Luxury diamond jeweller Hancocks has appointed global public relations firm Weber Shandwick to handle its PR, following a competitive process which saw the jeweller meet with numerous agencies across the UK.

The Manchester-based Consumer Team will now promote the brand’s heritage and quality messages throughout the North West and wider UK through luxury and business media.

The account will be handled by Weber Shandwick account director Hayley Corbett with delivery of work being managed by account manager Aimee Connor and account executive Sarah Roberts.

Steve Highton, marketing manager at Hancocks, commented: “I’m really excited to be working with the team at Weber Shandwick. I felt that they really understood the business and the wider industry and have come up with some great ideas.

“I look forward to a long and successful relationship with Weber Shandwick and hope that together we can enjoy Hancocks continued growth.”

Managing director of Weber Shandwick North, Jo Leah, added: “We’re delighted to be working with Hancocks, who have a fantastic reputation in Manchester and beyond for the quality of their diamonds and exceptional services.

“They have been meticulous in choosing a PR agency to work with, and we’re delighted to have been chosen.”
