MINI has unveiled its very own orchestra, which plays God Save the Queen on the horns of red, white and blue MINI London 2012 Special Editions.

Created by WCRS, the orchestra is made up of nine musicians from the London Philharmonic Orchestra.

Anna Kilmurray, advertising and prospecting manager at MINI UK, said: “The London Philharmonic musicians mastered their new instruments remarkably quickly and we were delighted to discover our MINIs were able to create the rousing patriotic harmony. We’re hoping to hear a good few more God Save the Queen renditions at medal ceremonies this summer.”

Dave Johnson, a creative at WCRS, said: “Having gone all out to produce exactly 2,012 cars in support of Team GB, MINI were understandably keen to showcase them. And seeing as they love to do things their own inimitable way, taking something as deep seated and rousing as our National Anthem, then reimagining it using car horns, is actually quite a sensible idea.”
