The Direct Marketing Foundation is to fund four postgraduate student bursaries for a new digital communications course at Birmingham City University.

Future Media: Pro runs for the first time this September and has been created with McCann Erickson Birmingham, digital marketing firm Found and mobile marketing specialist Mark Brill.

Brill, who will tutor the course, said: "Students are given live briefs and development projects. Using the skills they learn during the course, they will then be tasked with delivering a project in a commercial environment.

"By the end of Future Media: Pro, students will have gained the skills and portfolio necessary for working in the world of business.”

For those that want to enrol there are four £4,000 bursaries on offer, covering half of the course fee. Applications need to be made by Tuesday 17 July.
