BlackBerry’s newly ensconced chief marketing chief has struck an upbeat note amidst a series of PR disasters including delays to its latest operating system and a collapse in market share.

Unfazed, Frank Boulben insists that good things come to those who wait and the public will be impressed when they finally get their mitts on BlackBerry 10 early next year.

Speaking to the Associated Press Boulben said: “You’ll be able to flow seamlessly from one application to another, the underlying operating system is truly multitasking.

“We won’t be present for this year, but next year we will be present in a larger market.”

Boulben has been placed in charge of developing a global marketing strategy for BlackBerry 10 which aims to eliminate conflict between regional operations by carrying a single unified message.

It follows a series of disappointing sales figures from BlackBerry’s parent, Research in Motion, dropping 41% in the latest quarter alone amidst heightened competition from handsets running Android, iOS and Microsoft’s Metro interface.
